Austin

Woke up after 8.30 Uhr. Witnessed the school bus picking up kids through the neighbourhood - and that famous yellow colour (of the school bus) reminded me I was in the States.

Ha. Coz I'm not really a tourist here in Texas, more likely as a niece visiting a uncle for two weeks - I don't get to interact with any locals at all, and even if we are outside interaction is kept to a minimal. So this journey far away from home, doesn't really feel real - well, except the winter temperatures and dramatic drop in humidity here that is.

Leon's gloves! I kidnapped them just to photograph them; they are reeeeeeally too adorable... *___*

It's cold today. The coldest so far. At the Korean Supermarket it was really freezing - 5 degrees with blowing winds to be exact. I'm all the more glad I made the right choice getting this winter coat. Its price is a nightmare, but it's keeping me very warm! My poor face which is exposed to the chilly winds though... I needed to protect it with my black scarf... Anyway, back in the supermarket, a lot of Japanese products there, which I found pretty much contradictory. They might as well open up a Jap supermarket and make me happier.

Next is "Target", and an impressive supermarket of the high end I would say. Bought quite a lot of stuff, from nailcutter to orange juice. Quality food ne! The romano garlic sourdough sticks for example. I had my eyes on a shrawl, a pretty plum colour - but it was the very last piece and wasn't in a good state. T___T It would have matched my black clothings very well... Why don't I have any affinity with purpurish tones shrawls?

18.30 Uhr (Texas time)
We returned home. Uncle's wife is frying something for our dinner - what I yet not know. But it's stinking up the whole house, and there's nowhere to run (except to the freezing outside)! Even the spare room, the furthest room on the 2nd floor reeks of the oil smell. Eww... Here goes my clothes... DX

20.30 Uhr (Texas time)
Second Uncle was online on Skype. Just before we started dinner. So imagine the laptop and cam at the dining table and the chatting... and most of us already hungry... ha...

Dinner was gooood. Sushi!!! (See, only a week without Jap food and I'm already dying.) Also chicken steak... which goes very well with the mash potato gravy from KFC. In fact, the gravy goes well with anything, lol.
