Austin

9 Uhr (Texas time)
Ha. Now I'm the last to wake up. At 9am! I'm never an early waker, ne. And I would have slept till ten - I hadn't fulfill my dose of at least 6 hours of sleep.

Now they know I don't breakfast. Though I don't really mind ice cream for the morning meal. Whahahaha... (I'll try to curb myself from ruining my image too much in one day LOL.) And expensive Earl Grey in the morning. So exquisite! :D

11 Uhr (Texas time)
A walk around the neighbourhood, followed by a short drive to the nearby playground.

Just outside the house

The corner of the neighbourhood

O Christmas Tree... the alternative

And more trees...

We went to some "Chinatown" for lunch. A Vietnamese restaurant. Seems like Americans are accustomed to large servings. I ordered my noodle bowl "S" size, but it seems "XL" to me when it was served. Their spring rolls have a, erhm... rather unique taste. Then grocery shopping again at the opposite supermarket which caters to the Asians here. I even found our local brands there! I was so tempted to buy the other favours Vitasoy drinks not found at home - red bean and coconut, but meh. Oh, they have a lot of Japanese products! I have an entire row of Ramune on the shelves, and went OMG I wanna bring all of them with me. But I am spoiled when it comes to carrying weights, so I hope I can find them in Tokyo at a reasonable price too... Don't wanna carry 10 Ramune bottle in my luggage chasing trains in Japan, lol. Another tub of ice cream - Azuki favour! I think our hosts are freaked out by now by going What?! Ice cream again!?

We now have five pints of ice cream in the freezer.

On the highway

...?!

Reads Drive-Thru Pharmacy. Now how I wish we do have it back home.

"Chinatown" - at the carpark

Back home we passed by a huge cemetery. The flowers on the graves suddenly evoked in me memories of Franz. It was lucky I was at the back seat, and everyone except uncle (who's driving) and I were knocked out and dozing off due to the jetlag. Coz I cried and called out silent my beloved's name so many times from the innermost depth of my heart. I recalled the scene in Bayreuth earlier this summer.

23 Uhr (Texas time)
OMG, OMG, I can really sleep. Actually the children were all knocked out at the supermarket, so we headed for home. Around 5pm when I had my rounds of ice cream I went up take a nap too. By the time I woke up darkness has fallen. I thought perhaps the sunset is getting earlier due to early winter... when I was up from bed and I checked my watch... it was 11pm! WHOA.

Woke up... and bathe. Then I realized they're all planning to go shopping at another supermarket again. o__O;; So... I told them I'll give it a miss this time. Also living up to my idea of slacking: home, Internet, tea and ice cream. Dinner was overnight KFC chicken. Didn't want it at first... but submission came later.

So when the rest of the house left for the supermarket I'm typing this right now - sipping my hot tea and once in a while heading for the freezer for the tubs. The Azuki ice cream is premium stuff man.

4 Uhr (Texas time)
Uh-oh. Now looks like the little boy has taken a liking to me as well. o__O;;

Reluctantly off to bed at 4.30 Uhr, and didn't sleep well either.
