Genting - Day 2 / Part 4

We decide to explore the rest of the area. Next stop - Hotel Resort. I love the lobby! And the decors on the first and second floors display very refined tastes. The buffet area looks good too, unlike ours.

Lobby. Small, but nice ambience

The wall next to the hotel's buffet area. The tubes are filled with interesting stuffs, all labelled, from the norms: short-grain and long-grain rice, dried cinnamon, glass noodles, to silly things: prawn crackers (the "raw" transparent kind), honey stars, kellog's cornflakes. Ahaha.

Hotel Resort's Buffet area

There's a casino (Monte Carlo) there - it was a good experience there, except I nearly collapsed from excessive passive smoking. I stink of smoke.

WTF.

Casino Monte Carlo. Dare ka, ano hito?

Head to the cable car station, and gosh what a queue! I want to ride but I lost the argument: I'll beeeee back tomorrow! >:EEE Oh, before I go to the next point, the scenery is just fogged up by the massive clouds and it's tremendously windy! Weeee~~ Weimar. Like Weimar! (Because I've been obsessed with cold temperatures ever since.)

At the Genting Skyway, and: QQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQQ. I hate queues.

Bought Famous Amos cookies because I can't resist! Double choc cookies. Yum!

Hotel Genting is just soooo grand. The lobby is really in a class of its own. There's another casino there. My company forces me to enter the place but the smell of smoke is so intense even before I reach the entrance that I back out. I even feel lethragic. Boo.

Thence stands Hotel Genting amidst the clouds

Escalator up the 2nd floor, where the Casino de Genting is

Second floor! Grand, isn't it?

There's a Thai fair of some sort at another area of the hotel, and at the end of the exhibit is a line of food stalls selling Thai food. So... dinner time! The mango rice is really good! The mangoes sweet, the rice yummy. One of our company comments that the Tom Yum Noodles tasted authentic, but I find it toooo spicy. When the soup goes down the wrong way, my throat will hurt.

The fair

"Manga" rice :p

Tom Yum that stings D:

More walking around in circles. Plans to goe to the casino at our hotel, but I'm really beat. Then someone complains dinner isn't enough for self and we head for a second round of dinner at a Cantonese restaurant. Food is rather good there. But the desserts are weird. Red Bean Ice for me; the scoop of ice cream is indulgence but the red beans are rather bitter. Hmm.

We cancel our late night plans to the casino. All too tired. I'm the first to take a nice, long, hot bath and found myself in bed writing this.

Oyasumi. :)
