Tactics 1

Whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaa~~~~~~~~!!!!!!!

I'm in awe... The opening scene is incredible! I already became hysterical before the OP starts. After that scene I knew that I'll be in love with the series. Definitely. And look at Kantarou - pretty shiny silver hair! Oh, with ruby-red eyes too!! What a great combination - a complete bishounen in the first episode already! The later part of the episode develops Kantarou's personality further - even more of a bishounen now, haha. Shiny hair with shiny heart. XD *drools*

The animation is flawless. Although it can never beat Gonzo's animation style, it is in a class of its own. Very impressive, and my favourite scene in the episode happens to be the black feathers imagery. Very, very pretty.

The OP and ED needs a bit of adapting from me though. It's not those kind of songs I would fall in love with just an one-time listening. The music is... er... a little excessive? The animated sequences are okay - I find the OP sequences better than the ED. But of course, I'll get used to it sooner or later. Just like what the ED from Peacemaker Kurogane had done to me. ^^ And the music (OST) is pretty nice. I'm pretty glad that amidst the underlying traditional Japanese culture (shrines, folklore and how most characters are dressed), the music of Kantarou-in-action had some jazzy feel to it. Well done! I appreciate the contrast intended by the composer. I applaud ye. ^^

And I fell for Haruka. No matter how bad (Kantarou's to blame anyway, not the latter XP) his name sounds , he looks gorgeous. DEAD GORGEOUS. Brilliant shiny first-appearance! *drowns in her own pool of drool* Those black wings look so cool! And his kimono, wow. Lastly, let's flatter him with his black hair. Totally seductive to the core. Purrrrrrrr... I'm not aroused... just attracted... He totally wins Round 1 against Kantarou. I'll judge between the two as the series progresses But to sidetrack a little, the whatever-it-is-called Haruka is holding reminds me of Miroku... o_O Haha, nevermind. I must be paranoid at that point in time. And another Suzu appeared... Dang... *headdesk* Is it such a popular name in anime? I never have a good impression of that name unless that Kantarou's middle name.

Lastly, why so excited after the first episode? One word - KIMONO. Aaaaaaah... Kimonos everywhere! Anime characters looks their best when they are all clad in kimonos... Youko's kimono is lovely... And Kantarou's is way cool. Suits him and his silver hair a lot. And his fan is so shiny! :D And I'll spare Haruka from my rantings on kimonos. Gosh... My love for kimonos is way beyond words.

[Now for the crossovers of Episode 1 cos I watched too many animes]
1. Appearance of Haruka = Kira-senpai from Angel Sanctuary
2. the name "Suzu" = Juuni Kokki
3. the freezing of Ryuusuke = Kyo's sealed body in Samurai Deeper Kyo
4. Kantarou = somehow his behaviour reminds me of a mix of characters from Fruits Basket
5. Haruka's "weapon" = Miroku's staff in Inuyasha

Now, now... Don't start to throw rotten things at me. I'm not criticising Tactics! It's very true that there's the difficulty of maintaining originality in any animation work when there's so many of them around now. Certainly directors do get influenced right? I'm just trying to illustrate how distracted I can get just watching an anime series, lol. Because my brain refers too much at too many a time. Episode 2 tomorrow. Yay! Banzai desu!

Blut

Never, never do glissandos on a Yahama C3.

Bleed did three of my fingers.

And I've a four-hour long rehearsal in less than one hour's time. Er... go me?

Pendition für Juuni Kokki

Okay, as promised to Pandora, I'm posting the link to the Juuni Kokki pendition to continue the series. Onegaishimasu!

I wanna know what happened to Taiki!

My robes made me feel HP-ish! XDD

Omg... I never knew there's a grand piano at my German school. And what's more shocking: it's a STEINWAY. A Steinway & Sons on the fifth floor of the building? Heh heh heh... *sneaky sneaky*

The grand was so well hidden. I never did notice that the auditorium had a "movable" wall - Annika revealed the grand to me and JJ; I was eager to see the maker's name/brand of the piano (JJ and Annika was in front blocking my direct view of the keys) and my eyes almost popped out (not literally but yes, physically) when I saw those familiar gold-coloured words... I hardly managed a breathless "Omg... a Steinway..." and I guess Annika was gleeful to know she had surprised me well enough.

And so I returned the favour - I surprised her (and passers-by) with the B-flat. Heh heh, I knew my voice was loud... If only Lehrerin Schaumann could have been there... I owed her my voice as well.

Achso, Nikolai...

Lol, I was surprised at Pandora's feedback on Tenkuu no Escaflowne.

"Escaflowne is so Last Exile and Gundam and a spice of superstition..."

*facepalm*

I never thought of that - maybe coz Tenkuu no Escaflowne is one of the earliest anime I've watched in my history of anime-indulgence. I think it was around 6-7 years back... I don't recall much, except my past impressions that I adore this series in every way possible. ^^

Kimi ga Nozomu Eien is a very sweet story for romance-fans like me. Well, I'm re-watching it (and refreshing my memory) so I know the story will take a bad turn around the 3rd episode. But you know, I wouldn't blame the poor guy if I were you. It's the bitch Mitsuki to blame - because she has been indirectly plotting this all the time. Okay, okay, no hate post late in the night. Enough is enough, and I'm done. ^^

And two more episodes till the end of Bakuretsu Tenshi. Which will be followed by Tactics!

*glees*

And Pandora loves D. Gray Man now. I'm glad I introduced him the manga.

*glees more*

My voice: So you were really amazed?

Firstly, to Pandora: Thanks again for your birthday present! Love it - I'm using it already, haha... Can't wait for next year to come right? Lol!

Pandora came and looted my anime collection today! My manga collection was so embarressing though - sorry that hardly anything of mine suit you =_=;;

JJ came to rehearse at three plus and poor Pandora had to feel bored and at the same time get his ears tortured... So paiseh dear...

Judy-chan visited later in the evening, and stayed till eleven! Wow, that was real late! She showed me Theores' artbook (TB - short form, Judy-chan, since I recalled you don't want many pp to know abt it) and omg... everything and every page was really so wicked... Sooooo wicked! The attention paid to the details (and I thought Kaori Yuki was the best), the backgrounds, the costumes, even the weapons... all so totally wickedly awesome. So-duh-wicked dears! I also re-discovered two of my favourite colours - white and black (the hair, the hair!). The baddie was someone wicked-looking with long black hair. Von die Rosen-Kreuzen. Gosh, I was drooling full-time at his pages. *blushes* Whahahahahahahaaaaaa... The artbook was simply gorgeous - interior and exterior alike! Gosh, that's Judy's bible now. Wicked! And I have to thank her for generously bringing her beloved book all the way from her place to mine. I wouldn't have dared do that to my beloved collection, but she's such a dear friend to do so. Deep down, Judy-chan, I'm really very touched. ^^

After drooling and swooning over Judy's bible we are ready to rehearse. I plonged and she sang. Then we got distracted and went online searching for FMA pics. Lol!! Girls are forever girls. So are ladies, or women, whahaha. They'll talk, talk more, talk even more, talk forever ever more and sidetrack to the opposite end of the world. Yep, that's our problem. Always the problem! ^^

Confession made. But I didn't feel better. XD

I hate peeps who draws circles

Wondered why they even allow the pianist to play on the grand piano for a Grade 5 singing exam. Luckily Sabrina's voice is strong enough to overcome the grand's volume. Very tense during her Vaccaj, but I'm glad she got more relaxed at her Martini.

Got a generous treat from her after that. She had strawberry shortcake while mine's apple cake. Gawd, that tasted heavenly. I can tell you, it's better than apple strudels! Also pumpkin soup - which was really... er... unique... And passionfruit millkshake (got that, Proko? PASSIONFRUIT! :P) But the taste is pretty weird? It's milky but sour at the same time? I wouldn't say it's awful, but just something I wasn't accustomed to.

Lol, this is my first "food" post, I figured out! Surprising why I would even post what I ate. Indication that it's late at night, I'm waiting for my hair to dry and am awfully bored.

Untitled. Imtitled. Whatever.

I used to think that Gretchen am Spinnrade is the song to sing. Guess Gretchen finally met her match. Rastlose Liebe is more than the song to sing. Schubert must be out of his mind! Well, at least he's not as merciless as Beethoven, yet.

And Lehrerin was a total bitch. Gosh, shut up and goodbye already.

Sabrina's exam tomorrow. Hope she's well-prepared.

Chrno

The last episode wasn't really a conclusion - it was more of an epilogue of a conclusion. The conclusion took place in the last second episode of Chrno Crusade.

Still, while Episode 23 was engaging both in action and emotional tension, tonight's made me wept buckets. Yet, the closing minutes of the last episode was really disappointing - it shows that there's no effort put into ending the series at all. Yes, yes, the third prophecy and whatever. But we don't want it bleakly told. And who wants Aion to be involved tonight? If tonight tells of the death of Chrno and Rosette, we want no trace of Aion in here!

Simply said, I really hate Aion as a result of the recent episodes. Lots of reason. Won't post it here, or all will suffer the length of my endless lamentation.

And yes, lastly, to explain the tears. Half a year after their disappearance, we (the audience) are brought to the scene where Chrno and Rosette are together spending their last moments. And I wept. I wept as freely as Rosette did. I wept for both of them. I wept for their cruel fate, their shortage of time. But most of all, I wept because Rosette is free to weep; she can finally be herself when in front of Chrno - cos he is her other half (that's how I see it) - because there's no one to stop her from doing so. Let's take a brief journey through Chrno Crusade. Our heroine Rosette has been a hyperactive high-spirited girl ever since the first episode. The plot starts to get darker as both the past (and connection) of Rosette and Chrno is revealed. Yet for the sake of her friends (namely Azmaria and the late Satella) Rosette is determined to appear strong. Okay, so the first part of Chrno Crusade depicts a passionate, energetic Rosette. The second part of her characterisation devoids her of any kind of emotions. Constantly under Aion's control, she adorns a plain black dress with a blank look, staring with those empty eyes of hers. Black clothes with black pupils (as in "eyes"). Black of nothingness. Chrno saved her in Episode 23 but we're only rewarded with seconds of the Rosette we know.

And the Rosette we know had never shed a tear. At her last moment, she did. I believe that's because Chrno was with her. Because she's Rosette again.

For that, shed tears did I.

A Chilly Evening Breeze

Credo tonight was a success!

In fact, everything this evening was great! The evening breeze was chilly, but I gave thanks. So I took a stroll along the river near my rehearsal venue. It was lovely. Somehow the river at night reminds me of the scene from Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi (Spirited Away) where Chihiro was first stranded by the river at night in the other world. Alone by the river, I started talking to the Chihiro in my head. And the Chihiro tonight replied to me in German. Lol.

So! Herr Lim mentioned about next year's upcoming projects - after the Debussy Nocturnes and Beethoven's Missa Solemnis, there's word that we might be performing Haydn's The Creation (o_O = Zzzzzz...), Brahms' Ein Deutsches Requiem (Yaaaaaaaay!) and one other modern work which I didn't quite catch. Cool! Can't wait for next year already!

I'll say it again - Credo is a success. Herr Lim was very impressed with us (probably because he threatened to test us individually on ou parts last week, lol) and was a complete joker tonight. However, we aren't going to move on to Sanctus yet - he wanna polish up on Credo (and meanwhile enjoyably torture us sopranos) next week. Yep.

Professor Snape and the Goblet of Fire

Wokay, I know that everyone had or will probably post about this in their blog, so I'll do it the original way.

Meaning, commenting the movie in my rotting-away, broken German.

There! My German is broken enough? I do take into account that only 1/2 dears out there is/are able to read the above comments without difficulty. So feel free to pop a question or two if that's alien language to you. Except don't ask me to post a translation of the entire post online (cos it defeats the whole purpose) :P

:P

Pandora's Cage

Does a caged bird ever yearn to fly?
The cage is her protector, her shield.
Why would she wish to abandon it, and suffer the cruelities of the world?

Does a caged bird ever yearn to fly?
It takes more than wings to leave the shell.
Guts, bravery, recklessness - will she ever dare to fly?

Does a caged bird ever yearn to fly?
Somehow, she wished that she had never learnt to fly,
Just as how she wished that she never had lived.

I'm back... for now

Gosh, I've not posted for a week!

Still struggling to take a breather, but it's so hard! I really, really should sneak away for a vacation soon. But the problem isn't when. It's how...

Well, at least I managed to blog, lol. And since I'm not able to touch the piano (or screeeeech) at one in the morning and am waiting for my hair to dry (bad habit of washing my hair at 11pm every night), I'll write a bit more more, and sing praises for Chrno Crusade.

I did not review the previous episodes (coz I recently finding myself dropping dull onto my bed [which is the floor! XDD] after that since my brain is crumbling into pieces usually about that time), but briefly commenting them in overall: TOTALLY ZUTTO GANZ SUPERB. Fantasisch! Dark, but fantastisch. Well, the series is gonna end soon; you don't expect to see anymore filler episodes right?

All but one exception. Tonight's. Well, at least Remmington didn't die on me, but the revelation that he's an angel makes me go huh?! Because that really didn't seem to be affecting (or helping with) with the development of the plot at all. He's still powerless against the Sinners and Aion. EXTRA USELESS INFORMATION. BLEH. In fact, that Pursuer guy seems to be pretty powerful! At least he got rid of that irritating Sinner (whatever his name). And also, my hunch was right. Joshua's "caretaker" is Satella's sister. Buahahaha.

But those aren't the letdown of tonight's episode. It was Rosette. Sigh... I can't blame her for being the reincarnation (sort of) of Mary Magedalene, but she is the damsel in distress today. Arrgh. What happened to that strong sense of justice in her? We love to watch the strong spirited Rosette fighting with her strong sense of righteousness, and yet Aion was doing whatever he wants with her tonight. AND CHRNO... And Chrno... and Chrno... Nnnnnngggh... Noooooo... He didn't deserve that... Okay, stop whining. I think what happened to Chrno is inevitable. The plot has to go that direction if Aion was to take Rosette away from everybody. It was pretty gory when Chrno forcefully pulled the horns out from Joshua's head. Ouch. Ouch. Ouch. Oh yes, GONZO is getting more gore and blood in their animation too, I noticed (also in Burst Angel).

Okay, conclusion for tonight's Chrno Crusade - angst, angst, and more angst. Tomorrow's synopsis shows that Chrno will return! Yay! I can't wait for tomorrow! And four more episodes to goe... Darn... I want more of Rosette and Chrno... ^^

One last thing before the last of my brain collapse into nothingness - I managed to sing till dizzy for Gretchen am Spinnrade. Whoa. That's a notorious one for you. Nacht.

And see you when I see you. Probably after the second week of Dezember. Arrgh, I wanna my assignments to end.

Pandora was right, and I am Gretchen

Arrghhh... I have to admit to myself everyday that I'm a darn slow reader... Nnngggh... And Pandora was right, Maison Ikkoku is my slowest set so far... -_______- Haha, I don't read at home, and when I have the intention of reading on the bus, I dozed off instead.

Tsk tsk, excuses and excuses... By the way, I started on Maison Ikkoku since last year! That's even more embarressing eh, Pandora? ;)

Buahahahahahaha!!

Sung Gretchen am Spinnrade for Frau Lim this evening. It's the song that most singers would fear. Frau Lim even commented that we might have to work on this song for at least three weeks! Woohoooo! Crazy of Schubert to write such sustained lines. But well, the song's better than his Op. 1 I think, and Schubert's of course better than Beethoven. ^^

I think Frau Lim wasn't expecting me to be in my tip-top condition today, since I gave a disgusting performance last lesson. Either way, or that she wasn't expecting me to deliver a strong tone at my first Gretchen attempt. Yay. The killer was at the last three pages. The part where Gretchen became passionate and was imagining herself embracing and kissing Faust. The most difficult line was "an seinen Küssen vergehen sollte" [deep in his kisses I would willingly pass away/die]. Arghh, my own crappy translation, lol. The line was crazy! It starts at the higher octave, and then at the word "vergehen" [pass away] leaps straight to an A! It is not high, but it is tricky. Coz even after the high A it comes back down to a C#. Meaning I can't float away with my high registers after hitting the A but I can't release my control either before falling back to a lower register. Bleh. It's no wonder Gretchen is a nightmare for sopranos. Yet, hey-hey, I did it right during my first attempt without practising for more than two hours for the past two weeks. Yay!

And at one point, Frau Lim asked me this: "Have you been in love?"

Whoa.

I don't know if it has anything to do with the Gretchen song, but gosh, she popped that question out of nowhere. I answered seriously with a "Yes, I have."

God knows how I managed to say that one out. And that wasn't the end of it. She continues:

"Are you in love now?"

Oh gawd, "Yes."

Telling that to a teacher who is around my mum's age is sheer madness. Wonder why she even wanted to know. o_O

Well, vaguely speaking, I am in love everyday, aren't I?

Zehn Tage mehr...

Today is Proko's birthday... Seessssh - time passes so quickly...

Which means, ten days more...

to DOOM.

Weil Proko gesagt hat: "Heute ist Credotag!" *dies from the B-flats*

14th episode of Chrno Crusade, and Rosette kissed Chrno.

WHAT THE?!

Not that I don't approve of Rosette x Chrno, but I feel that the series simply has no room for romance. Whereas, I could be convinced that there might be some kind of the romance bits occuring in further episodes of Burst Angel (or if you rather, Bakuretsu Tenshi). See, the ambience is just not set in Chrno Crusade - well, not yet.

With so many issues at hand, the first being tied between Joshua and Aion, who would actually wish for Rosette and Chrno falling for each other now? I'll be screaming to know how the Joshua issue will be resolved, and what will become of Chrno.

And I'm still laughing myself silly everytime the Jewel Witch (whatever her name is) shouted out her German incantations. Oh boy, you don't want to know the meaning of those German words! I can't take her seriously anymore! XDXDXD

By the way, might as well review today's ongoings.

Finished the 12th volume of Maison Ikkoku already! And gawd, it's so teary... I would have broken down in tears if I wasn't in the train with tired-looking office workers aimlessly staring around the train (and surely they will be thinking what the hell is this girl doing, seriously reading the manga in her hands with the Beethoven score on her lap). Tsk tsk, stereotypes. I hate it, but apparently, it's reality. It's weird to the majority when a musician read mangas, watch anime, or listen to pop music - seems like the musician-breed got to be aliens or something. Ggggrrrrrrr... Musicians are still humans after all! Can't we be normal humans as well? Oops... Sidetracked... Okay, so coming back to Maison Ikkoku. Godai is the culprit behind my tears. Arrgh, the last chapter is so angsty!

Takahashi Rumiko-sensei is a brilliant, brilliant lady. I totally adore her.

And Beethoven is a bad, bad person. Inconsiderate composer. Hmmph. I heard some sopranos cursing during tonight's rehearsal - we went through Credo today. =___________= Singers must have been scolding Beethoven for centuries. As Sharon once told me, "Beethoven never did know how to write for voice."

And his Missa Solemnis is now one of the most widely-sung choral works in the world. We humans are so ironic.

More on Johann in 26

I guess I'm a failure at expressing myself. All the time.

But I stumbled across a really old entry from this blog I've been visiting on a regular basis, and the owner wonderfully expressed thoughts that are similiar to mine:

I like that the series decide to shift the focus on Johan for a while because it's interesting to see him interacting with other people. At the end of the episode, however, he's still a mysterious character which I can't quite understand. On a glance, Johan seems like normal teenager to me. A little bit quiet and mysterious, but there is nothing out of the ordinary about him that screams "Serial Killer!". Another interesting point which I didn't expect is his touchy-feely attitude towards Karl. Is he attracted to Karl or is there something more to it? While his crocodile tears performance seems to give him a pass to become Karl's new best friend, I don't think the hand-touching was a part of his performance. So I'm tempted to think that his emotion in that scene to be genuine, assuming he is capable of such feeling. Anyway, it'll be interesting to see if Karl is simply another victim on Johan's list or if he serves an entirely different purpose in the series.

Empress returns to Monster!

After stopping at Episode 25 of Monster for weeks, I'm finally back to continue with the next. It's all Mum's fault - workholic-wise, she didn't have time to watch Ep 26 (with me) back then. But yet, she's still having problems reading through the English subtitles (which means that after watching one episode I have to explain it to her all over again...) =___=

While our Tenma makes his temporary disappearance, Johann finally dominates the screen. He appears to be a gentle, soft-spoken person; despite of the crimes we know he did commit in the previous episodes. Gosh... Johann is really a pretty boy! :P But amidst the enchanting looks, something eerie lurks beneath them all:

- [Starting from the most obvious] It is disturbing to witness how Johann is able to stroll (unafraid and) casually along the ledge of the Munich university's rooftop while engaging in a light conversation with Karl.

- Karl's remark of how Johann has the ability to make him feel at ease and tell him everything of his past (which he eventually did). This once again emphasize on Johann's uncanny ability to manipulate others and earning others' trust so effortlessly.

- Johann's vivid description of the imaginary forest scenery - all that when he is standing in front of a deserted, cold, isolated construction site - this final scene creeps me out. How did he manage to deceive old Mr Schuwald so calmly? I think it can only be possible for Johann if he did have the pretended scenery in his head, unlike Karl and Lotte (who fails to convince Schuwald he was standing in a forest facing a lake instead of a baren desert facing a construction site). And why do all that when he (Johann) isn't even close to Schuwald? I won't buy his good-heartedness; I'm sure he has something up his sleeves, and it isn't going to be something predictable. In other words, I am now strongly convinced Johann is psychologically unstable...

And Edmund Fahren became another victim of Johann Liebert.

Wow.

Huh...?

Found this interesting quizzzzzy from Proko's blog, so I gave it a try:

You Are 20% Left Brained, 80% Right Brained

The left side of your brain controls verbal ability, attention to detail, and reasoning.
Left brained people are good at communication and persuading others.
If you're left brained, you are likely good at math and logic.
Your left brain prefers dogs, reading, and quiet.

The right side of your brain is all about creativity and flexibility.
Daring and intuitive, right brained people see the world in their unique way.
If you're right brained, you likely have a talent for creative writing and art.
Your right brain prefers day dreaming, philosophy, and sports.

Are You Right or Left Brained?

Er... Okay... That's a little to the extreme huh? 20% left, lol. But unlike Proko, I'm a complete righty. Right. I'm a right righty. rightity rightety right!Righty right rightity!

Ngggh. Starting to hallucinate. Okay, off to bed! Oyasumi [Nacht]!

Wash the Garden with Blood

Pretty morbid title right?

That's the episode title for tonight's Burst Angel (or if you rather, Bakuretsu Tenshi)... Love all their episode titles - the Japanese titles are even more "poetic" in a gothic kind of way.

Beginning to appreciate Bakuretsu Tenshi even more now. The storylines are getting increasingly longer, but also more gripping. Tonight's episode is great! It pinpoints both Jo's strengths and weaknesses - she may be seen protecting Meg all the time, but she also needs her to watch [over] her back. So it is confirmed that Jo and Meg is a sticky pair, and the storyline tonight suggested yuri somehow... I don't know why, but it seems that the animators that intended though this is definitely just a girl-power action anime... (those of you who don't know what yuri is, it's better that you stay ignorant. It ruined my brain when I first knew its meaning in anime/manga context)

Chrno Crusade is getting darker and darker. Tonight's episode lost to Bakuretsu Tenshi's, mainly because it's a filler episode. Neither demons nor gore, it's an obvious indication of a new major story arc. Rosette is promoted to the status of a "Militia" and now has the freedom to search for her little brother Joshua. Which means, after the Christmas celebration in tonight's episode, she and Chrno will be getting closer to Aion, which means doom. Somehow I sensed the shadow of Fullmetal Alchemist underlying Chrno Crusade's plot. But that didn't mean that Chrno Crusade isn't original work - IT IS, and a wonderful masterpiece. It's just this familiar angsty relationship between the siblings in both anime.

And Joshua's appearance parallels to Heiderich's from the Fullmetal movie. Blue eyes, soft blonde hair. o_O. Another alternate universe. *dies* Only that Rosette is a female version of Edward. *dies some more*

And the synopsis for tomorrow's episode confirms it all - the plot will get darker... Wash the garden with blood...

Watashi ga iru yo!

Finished reading Inuyasha 19 online in one shot! That made me remember how much I loved the Bakaryuuha scene. Inuyasha is cool, isn't he? ;)

And I rewatched episode 39 of Juuni Kokki - Jap-voicing this time. Sugoi desu ne! I think the Chinese-dubbed and Jap are both nice. At least Yoko sounds like an Empress in both version, yay. But of course, if I were to choose, I'll stick to the Jap version... Because of Koyasu Takehito-sama... *nyaa!*

I guess you can assume this episode is my most most favouritest! Warum? [Why?] Grandioso, grandioso, and grandioso. Plus the bonus fact that Keiki appears in his Kirin form longer than he in the human form here. Keiki is really the most elegant Kirin amongst the twelve (not that I've seen all twelve, but I'm already very overwhelmed with Keiki ^^)

Juuni Kokki - zum Ende!

Banzai!

Finally finished the entire Juuni Kokki series. Pandoraprism was right though, the last episode didn't really conclude the fate of Juuni Kokki... So sad... I understand they ran out of funding during the course of the production... Arrghh...

For those of you out there who aren't anime-fans, Juuni Kokki literally means "Twelve Kingdoms". However, as I've mentioned, the series wasn't completed and though all the main storylines did conclude, there are still plenty of hanging plots here and there.

1)Kei [Yoko & Keiki]
At the end Empress Yoko, with Keiki's little help, "clean up" her corrupted government and re-established the entire court mannerism.
2) En [Shouryuu & Enki]
The most stable kingdom of the Twelve. The last few episodes touched on the past of Shouryuu & Rokuta (Enki). En on extremely good terms with Kei
3) Hou [???]
The entire tyrannical Imperial family (except the princess) was murdered and the leader of the rebellion took over the ruling of the kingdom. The denounced princess was at first exiled to Ryuu, then to Kyou where she started to change after meeting Rakushun. In the end, she ended up in Kei where she befriended Empress Yoko and played a major role in the "rebellion". In the last episode, it was hinted the rebel leader might proclaim himself Emperor, but who knows? Another mystery here: the Kirin for Hou had not appeared yet.
4) Kou [??? & Kourin]
We know the Emperor of Kou is responsible for Yoko's plight at the beginning of the series. After Kourin sacrificed her life to save Yoko, it is only sooner or later that the Emperor's death will follow (the rule of Juuni Kokki:the Emperor/Empress is unable to live without the Kirin, however, the Kirin might or might not die if the Emperor/Empress is dead). Well, Kourin is dead, and the Emperor will be soon/or is already. What will happen to the kingdom? No sign of a new Kirin yet.
5) Tai [??? & Taiki]
The longest plot following Kei's. Taiki chose his Emperor after going through such hardships. However, a year or two later both disappeared leaving the kingdom in chaos. And Taiki mysteriously re-appeared in Japan having no memory of his time spent in Tai. No light is shade on this huge mystery.
6) Ryuu
Not much is covered on this kingdom. All we know (from Rakushun) is that Ryuu is famous for its universities and righteous court officers. However, it is soon revealed that discrimination in the universities is evident against half-human, whom Rakushun is one, and the courts are not really "upright" either.
7) Kyou [??? & ???]
Ruled by a young-looking but cruel Empress. Even her Kirin was also mistreated.
8) Sai [??? & ???]
Sai is a stable kingdom. Suzu flees from her tyrant-mistress to seek help from the Empress of Sai. The Empress is an aged lady, and her Kirin is also good-hearted. However, the Empress doesn't allow Suzu to stay in the Imperial courts (because she wanted Suzu to become more mature and cast away her self-pitiness). Suzu decided to go to Kei, where she met Empress Yoko. Suzu also played a major role in Kei's "rebellion.
9) Sou
The kingdom was touched on very little in the series. Nothing much is known, except the fact that the kingdom is built on mountain slopes.
10) Han
Not covered in the series.
11) Ren
Not covered in the series.
12) Shun
Not covered in the series.

In the end I wrote a brief summary of the series... =____=
Oops... Apologies!

But you can now see that there are so many unresolved matters in the series! What had and will become of Taiki? When will Suzu and the denounced princess return to join Yoko? And lastly what of the states of those kingdoms without a Kirin? Also... Of course I would like to see more of Keiki... *blushes* He got no screening time at all after the rebellion in Kei was resolved! *frowns* It will be nice to see if his heart had grown...

Now it's so tempting to get the novels... So that I can find the answers to my questions! I want the novels... I want the novels...

I want the novels...
