Does a caged bird ever yearn to fly?
The cage is her protector, her shield.
Why would she wish to abandon it, and suffer the cruelities of the world?

Does a caged bird ever yearn to fly?
It takes more than wings to leave the shell.
Guts, bravery, recklessness - will she ever dare to fly?

Does a caged bird ever yearn to fly?
Somehow, she wished that she had never learnt to fly,
Just as how she wished that she never had lived.
