Krankheit...bald?

Think I'm getting sick? I'm feeling very weird, and my fingers are cold. Not now, I have performances coming up!

Mahler's Symphonie Nr. 6 rawks! Too bad the performance at the Esplanade Concert Hall today didn't turn out all too well (mostly caused by the audiences >:O and their unforgivable responses) - Proko told me about that; I wasn't there, thank goodness. Listening to the recording Proko made for me (Proko is total luv) and gosh, I fell in love with Mahler again.

Lushy and sweeping warmth from the strings in the 2nd movt; same in the 4th movt. Gawd, Mahler is tragic love.

Well, back to the topic of concerts - the one I attended at the Recital Studio didn't turn out well either. The performer's presentation of Wolf's Er ist's (from his Moerike Lieder) is poo. Totally trash. I was so convinced in her rendition that Wolf had changed his nationality. Why? Total bullshit German. Wait, it wasn't even sung in German. I heard only vowels and nonsensical stuff. o_O. I'm totally disappointed. Well, don't judge that I'm putting on harsh comments here - coz I make sure I do the same. Consonants as important as vowels when singing German. And that's the beauty of the language. Text conveyed. End of story. *palmface* I can't believe a trained singer insulted German Lieder like that. That was absolutely unprofessional.

Okay, this took me around an hour to write - I was idling and suffering at the same time. Anyway, feeling better. Hope I'll recover when I wake up tomorrow. Nacht.
